BraDazzle 2020

On February 29, Dollars for Mammograms held their annual Bra-Dazzle fundraiser at Heron Creek Golf & Country Club. One hundred and seventy six guests, mostly women, attended this exciting and fun event. Business and individuals decorate bras which are then entered into a competition for the best bra. The first place winner this year went to Barbara Knieff and Jeanne Lewis for their bra titled “This Ain’t No Disco, It’s About Staying Alive! Get Your Mammogram!.” The second place prize went to  Paradise Exclusive Team, Inc., designed by Kendal Canonico, for “Hop To It!”. After lunch and the awards presentation for the best bra, each of the bras were modeled by one of the seven models; Kendra Porter, Spencer Heldenbrand, Jim Benson, Roman Romananeko, Karl Thatcher, and Anthony Watts, and then auctioned off by Chris Bertler. 

Dollars for Mammograms founder and CEO, Rita Bertler said, “We met our goal this year. It has been very successful and all of the bras entered were very creative. I am grateful for the volunteers who help make this event the success that it is and am extremely grateful for all of the community support we receive.”

Dollars for Mammograms is a 501(c)(3) not for profit Florida corporation. They provide mammograms and other testing for women and men who are uninsured/under insured and cannot afford a mammogram. They serve people who live in Englewood, Grove City, Rotonda West, Cape Haze, Boca Grande, Placida, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, North Port and Venice. www.dollarsformammograms.org
