Happy 100th birthday to a long time Englewood resident - Brenda Lumsden! After raising her family in Maine and retiring, Brenda and her husband visited Florida’s west coast before settling in Englewood over 35 years ago. She served her country in the National Guard. Brenda was an avid sports woman and won national recognition as a Badminton champion. An outdoor lover, she also was active in swimming, skiing, and golf. When her balance came into question at the age of 95, she was forced to give up golf. However she’s still very active. Brenda keeps her mind sharp playing mahjongg and bridge with her many friends. Her family is expected in to celebrate this huge milestone. Brenda at 100 years old is an inspiration to us all!
