Lemon Bay Sunrise Rotary Club Raises Over $165,000 for Englewood Outreach

Lemon Bay Sunrise Rotary Club is thrilled to share that with the amazing support of the Englewood community, the club has fundraised over $165,000 during the last Rotary calendar year and made a significant impact on the community! An additional $62,000 was awarded in scholarships to graduating Englewood Area seniors. In their recent end-of-year giving, they donated an impressive $36,000 to local non-profit organizations, supporting causes that touched the lives of many individuals. These funds were specifically allocated for end-of-year giving and have made a remarkable difference for the organizations that received them. The recipients were: Lemon Bay Cemetery, Rotary Youth Camp, Cure Alzheimer’s Fund, Jesus Loves You Ministry, Boy Scouts, Johnny’s Dream, Englewood Youth Football, Patricia Chadwick Newton Scholarship Fund, Nancy Kay Looney Scholarship Fund, Meals on Wheels, Englewood Community Care Clinic, Kid’s Needs, Englewood Youth Baseball, Suncoast Humane Society, Lemon Bay Historical Society, Englewood Animal Rescue Sanctuary (EARS), Myakka Elementary School, Englewood Elementary School, Vineland Elementary School, L. A. Ainger Middle School, Sky Academy, Lemon Bay High School, On The Spot, Young Life, Spencer’s Sparkle, Crossroads Hope Academy, St. David’s Jubilee Center, TLC for Dyslexia, and Gift of Life. Apart from the end-of-year giving, LBSR is proud to announce that the remaining funds raised, totaling over $100,000, were directed towards various other impactful initiatives. These included supporting hurricane cleanup and recovery efforts, addressing personal and public needs, organizing a spectacular fireworks show, promoting child literacy, and participating in numerous other giving opportunities.
