Boca Cares is a non-profit philanthropic organization focused on serving those in need in the local Englewood area. This association recently issued year-end grants of $4,000 to Englewood Helping Hand, Englewood Meals on Wheels, and St. David’s Jubilee Center to fund meals over the holidays. Englewood Animal Rescue Sanctuary (EARS) received a $500 grant. Boca Cares facilitates fund-raising within the Boca Golf & Country Club community to help those less fortunate. Through Boca Royale resident contributions, Boca Cares has funded more than $275,000 in grants to local charities since its inception in late 2018. The Boca Care grants were presented to Mark Renne, Executive Director of Englewood Helping Hand; Kathy Jacklin, President of Englewood Meals on Wheels; Laura Roy Fink, Jubilee Center Administrator; and R. Todd Zimmerman, EARS Executive Director. Serving on the Boca Cares Board are Jim Epifano, Carolyn Burk, Bryan Domian, Alice Evans, Maureen Gillhouse, Holly Lutz, Silvana Malpelli, Donna Sheldrake, Julie Sikorski, and Kristina Watts.
