Mr. Swindle’s Traveling Peculiarism donates big to local charities

Mr. Swindle’s Traveling Peculiarism and Drink-ory kicked off its 2024 season here in the owners’ hometown, but Englewood certainly wasn’t a victim of B.S. Swindler. Ivan Espana (aka B.S. Swindler) and Alison Bleu, who founded Salto Entertainment of Florida, and lead the talented performers in this adult traveling circus, presented a $25,000 check to the Kiwanis Club of Englewood and Cape Haze, plus $1,250 checks to ten area nonprofit organizations on opening night. Receiving the generosity of Mr. Swindle and cast were Charlotte County Healthy Start; Kids’ Needs Englewood; Englewood Community Coalition; Englewood Area Cancer Foundation; Englewood Helping Hand; St. David’s Jubilee Center; Boys and Girls Club; Lemon Bay High School Key Club; Sky Academy; and Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida. Funds have also gone to Lemon Bay High School scholarships in amount of $5,500. Alison Bleu spoke about the reason for Mr. Swindle’s generosity, “We sincerely wish that the funds we raise serve a meaningful purpose, making a positive impact on those who require assistance. Furthermore, our aspiration is to initiate a ripple effect, envisioning those we aid today finding themselves in a position to pay it forward tomorrow. We recognize that everyone encounters moments when they need a helping hand, and we’re thankful to be in a position where we can offer support. The true heroes in this endeavor are the members of each organization. While we contribute financial support, they are the ones on the front lines, delivering crucial services.
