Sing-Along at Green Street Church

The public is invited to join Englewood’s Little Band of Writers at the Historic Green Street Church on Tuesday, August 30 at 7pm for a free community sing-a-long. The program is fun for all ages and will feature familiar songs on the Pioneer Days theme: Englewood Rocks Six Decades. “You’ll know the tune, and can probably sing the chorus by heart, for most of these songs,” said band leader Linda Lou Lewis. “But you might need a little help with the words on the verses. That’s why we hand out a song sheet with all the words.” This is the sixth year the sing-a-long has been held in conjunction with Pioneer Days. The local group of singer/songwriters will also introduce four new original songs this year. They’ve even slipped in a couple of country tunes to keep everyone happy. Acoustic musicians are welcome to join the band on stage.
