The Englewood Pioneer Days Photo Contest is now accepting entries

The Englewood Pioneer Days Photo Contest is now accepting entries. Most people capture moments in time through photos, so residents are encouraged to submit photographs of Englewood through the years. This year, the Committee is hoping to also receive photos from past Pioneer Days for a special display. To submit photos, go to www.englewoodpioneerdays.com, click on “Events,” then select “Photo Contest.” Be sure to fill out the application and release form; include the title of the photo and a brief explanation of why it illustrates this year’s theme: Englewood Pioneer Days: A Journey in Time.” Photos will be posted on the website and each photo will receive a code number so entries remain anonymous to judges. Limit: two entries per week per photographer, please. Submissions will be accepted until Friday, August 24. The ten finalists will be printed and mounted to be displayed so the general public can vote on their favorite. The people of Englewood choose the Grand Prize winning photo. Local area merchants donate gift certificates for prizes and the finalists will receive a mounted 8x10 copy of their photo. The contest is FREE and fun.
