Hermitage Artist Retreat: Nurturing Creativity from Inception to Production

Creating new works in television and film can often take years in development before reaching production. The Hermitage Artist Retreat’s mission is to support these brilliant, creative minds and their original works at their earliest stages. Currently, there are many opportunities to see the work of Hermitage artists featured across streaming platforms, network television, and movie theaters. Be sure to check out the work of these award-winning writers, producers, composers, and actors. Hermitage fellows Madeleine George and Kim Rosenstock write and produce “Only Murders in the Building”, and Michael R. Jackson composed a song for an episode (Hulu); Doug Wright is a writer on “The Burial” (Amazon Prime Video); Dipika Guha is a producer & writer for “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”, and Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer appeared in an episode of the show (Amazon Prime Video); Roberto Bentivegna worked on the screenplay of “House of Gucci”; York Walker is a story editor & writer for “FBI” (CBS & Paramount+); Rajiv Joseph (Hermitage Curator) and Bess Wohl write for “Extrapolations” (Apple+); Bess Wohl directed and wrote the screenplay for “Baby Ruby” (Hulu); Gavin Creel and Denis O’Hare are actors in “American Horror Story” (Hulu); and Halley Feiffer writes and is a showrunner for “American Horror Story-Delicate” (FX and Hulu).
