Lemon Bay High School Athletes of the Month & Sportsmanship Award Winners

On behalf of the Lemon Bay High School Athletic Department, a big congratulations to the LBHS August, 2023 winners of Athlete of the Month and the Sportsmanship Award. 

Lillyann Abbott

 

Lillyann Abbott is a senior captain and the team’s setter and right side hitter. The team plays a 6-2 rotation, so Lilly can also hit right side and play all the way around. Lilly is a 4-year varsity player and is involved in various school activities/clubs. 

Landon Spanninger

 

Landon Spanninger has rushed for 83 yards and three touchdowns in the first two games, to go along with 90 yards receiving and another touchdown. He has helped lead his team to an undefeated start to the season.

Receiving Honorable Mention for August Athlete of the Month are Ron Marquette, Junior - Boys Cross Country; Joe Scott, Senior - Football; Madeleine Googins, Senior, and Tori Medich, Senior – Volleyball; Savannah Pope, Freshman – Girls Golf; and Kenzie Martin, Sophomore – Girls Cross Country.

Peyton Mason, Senior, Football
Winning the August Sportsmanship Award is Peyton Mason, Senior, Football. Peyton is a great leader by example. He is extremely unselfish and a total team player. He works hard daily and is a leader of the defense. Peyton is also a top-notch student. 

Receiving Honorable Mention for the August Sportsmanship Award are Rachel Gillis, Sophomore – Girls Golf; Madeleine Googins, Senior – Volleyball; Caleb Whitmore, Senior – Football; and Mariah Jones, Sophomore – Cross Country.
