HCA Florida Englewood Hospital CEO Joins Local Leaders in Florida's Celebrate Literacy Week

HCA Florida Englewood Hospital CEO Joe Rudisill joined business leaders Brian Faro, co-owner of Paradise Exclusive Real Estate, and Doug Izzo, hospital board member and Executive Director of the Englewood Chamber of Commerce, and others to participate in the Florida Department of Education’s 2024 Celebrate Literacy Week. The theme this year is “Believe in your ‘Shelf’” - Building Resiliency Through Reading. They read to kindergarten and 3rd grade students at Vineland Elementary School. The program is designed to raise awareness about the importance of reading and to inspire students and families to make reading part of their daily routines. Joe Rudisill shared, “We know that reading skills are critical. The kids loved listening to us read, and the faculty and staff welcomed us with open arms. It was rewarding to participate in this program to help build awareness about the importance of early reading.”
