LBHS Sportsmanship Award Winner
Congratulations to Khloe Evans, sophomore, girls weightlifting, who was selected for the November Sportsmanship Award. Khloe never stops. She will bring bars and weights into the weight room before practice. She lifts longer than anyone else at practice. She cleans up everything after practice. She is always encouraging to her teammates and keeps them engaged and working hard. She has recruited and welcomed many new girls to the weightlifting team after 14 seniors graduated last season from the state runner-up team. She is a constant helper and encourager with other teams at meets. Through her own hard work and dedication, she has increased her traditional and Olympic lift total by 100 pounds each over last season. Other coaches consistently comment on how warm and welcoming coming to Lemon Bay for a meet is, and Khloe sets that standard. Photo courtesy of Tim Kern.
