Here’s a great opportunity to support your favorite area charity or non-profit and have your donation doubled automatically (up to $100 per donor for each organization’s donation). The Community Foundation of Sarasota County will host the area’s ninth Giving Challenge from Tuesday, April 9 starting at noon and running 24 hours until noon on Wednesday, April 10. The Patterson Foundation will join again with their irresistibly incentivizing matching fund opportunity. The Giving Challenge is a vital event for area non-profits to receive donations to enable them to carry out their mission. To find out if a non-profit organization close to your heart is participating, go to givingchallenge.org and search participating organizations in Sarasota, Charlotte, Manatee and DeSoto Counties. There is a minimum donation of $25 and credit & debit cards are accepted. Donations are 100% tax-deductible and you will receive an emailed receipt acknowledging your gift after your donation.
