LBHS Athletics Awards For March

LBHS Athletes of the Month

Lemon Bay High School Athletic Department has announced their 2024 March Athletes of the Month. Congratulations to Ailee Briggs, a freshman on the Girls Wrestling team and Jack Oliver, a junior on the Boys Wrestling team.



Ailee is the Girls Wrestling State Champion (only gave up one point in four matches at the state tournament) and her final record is 40-1 (only loss was to a Georgia state champion) She is the first female wrestler to win the state championship in the school’s wrestling history.



Jack finished his wrestling year as the state runner-up with a final record of 59-7.


Receiving Honorable Mention for March are Girls Tennis: Parker Zautcke (Jr); Rosey Lowder (Sr); Avery Shirley (Jr); Sihara Padrino (Fr) and Mckenzie DeLong (Jr). Lemon Bay High School Sportsmanship Award Winner

Winning the March Sportsmanship Award at Lemon Bay High School is Chase White, a junior on the Boys Weightlifting team. According to the LBHS Athletic Department, Chase is always upbeat at practice and treats his coaches and teammates with respect. He is helpful to his teammates, including providing multiple athletes with a ride to school and home after practice. Chase has worked hard this season to achieve the goals he has set for himself and has gone a step further to put the team ahead of himself. 



Maday, a junior on the Girls Tennis team, for receiving Honorable Mention for the Sportsmanship Award.
