LE 2024 Teams Up with Englewood Fire District to Honor First Responders

The Leadership Englewood Class of 2024 (LE 2024) has partnered with the Englewood Area Fire Control District to raise funds for the class Legacy Project: the construction of a tribute honoring the devoted First Responders of the Englewood area.

This notable monument will be located at Veteran’s Memorial Park, situated at 641 W. Dearborn Street. It will showcase insignias from the Englewood Fire District, Sarasota County Fire Department, Charlotte County Fire and EMS Department, Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, Sarasota County Schools Police Department, Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office and North Port Fire Rescue. Sponsorship and donor opportunities are still available, which result in the name of the organization or individual to be inscribed on the back of the granite monument. Gold sponsors will also have a plaque in their name installed at the foot of the monument, and platinum sponsors will have their name inscribed on a permanent black granite bench installed alongside the monument. This allows businesses and individuals to be recognized in perpetuity for supporting the First Responders Memorial project.
