“Purim in Israel" is Chabad of Venice & North Port's creative twist to this year's community celebration of Purim, the holiday commemorating the Jewish people's salvation in ancient Persia. The festivities will be held at Chabad of Venice, 21560 Angela Lane, Venice, on Sunday, March 24, 4 to 6pm, featuring a multi-media Megillah reading, Israeli buffet, Israeli music and L’chaim toasts. Participants will enjoy an immersive experience with activities such as sand art in the Negev, squeezing orange juice in Jaffa, moon bounce & face painting in Tel Aviv, and sending cards of support to the Israeli Defense Forces. This is a community-wide program, and all are welcome to attend. Israeli-themed costumes are encouraged. The cost is $36 adult and $10 children.
