Get your tickets now for the National Vietnam War Veterans Day on Friday, March 29th at VFW Post 10178, 550 N. McCall Road. The program at 4pm will include keynote speaker Colonel Gerry Berry (Vietnam CH-46 pilot), Lemon Bay High School ROTC color guard, and the Pledge of Allegiance by Cpl. Randy C. Smith who was the last Marine to take down the flag in 1975 during the fall of Saigon at the end of the Vietnam War. General admission is free starting at 4pm for the program with General Flynn. To raise funds, preferred seating up front is $50 (have a photo taken with Colonel Berry for an additional $50). Enjoy dinner at 5pm where you can choose between two entrees, brisket for $20 or pulled pork for $15, and includes two sides & a soft beverage. Stay afterwards to hear Trey Wanvig & his band from 6 to 9pm. Doors open at 3pm. This event is open to the public. Proceeds benefit VFW Post 10178 which is still recovering from Hurricane Ian.
