Senior Clint Thompson wins scholarship

Lemon Bay High Sshool Senior Clint Thompson of Englewood was recently awarded a scholarship from Venice Musicale at a concert at the Venice Public Library on Thurs April 18, 11am. Young musicians from South Sarasota County auditioned on Sat, April 6, for scholarships to attend summer music camps or to apply to college tuition. Clint Thompson’s dream is to make it in musical theater performance and he started early, dancing and singing since he was ten. In line with this dream, he has just completed participation in the musical South Pacific, where he played a lead singing role, that of Lt. Joe Cable, in the Lemon Bay HS performance. His scholarship award will go toward to tuition at Manhattan Marymount College. Other students awarded scholarships and performing at the concert were: Natasha Snyder, violin; Reed Tucker, double bass; Franscesca Ispaso, piano; Jason Cooper, piano and Medsyre Rochanavibhata, piano.
