Finish up your shopping nicely and join the community for the Annual Christmas Walk on Dearborn Street in Olde Englewood Village, Friday December 14. Dearborn Street will be closed from 4:30 to 7:00 for the festivities. From 5-5:40, Santa photos will be at his sleigh and the Christmas Tree at Pioneer Park, next to the Mango Bistro. At 5:30 students from the Terra Nichols Academy will sing Christmas Carols at the Tree. At 6:00, The 1st Englewood Christmas Parade will begin on Harbor Dr. (corner of Old Englewood Rd. and Dearborn St.) and proceed to Mango Avenue. At 7:00, the Merchants Gift Basket drawing will be held at Vino Loco (tickets can be purchased at Vino Loco**) At 7:15, The Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place in the 300 block of Dearborn St. Immediately following the Tree Lighting Ceremony at 7:20, A Kids bike, donated by Key Agency will be raffled off (Tickets purchased at Dearborn St. Jewelry or Mango Bistro**) And finally, at 7:30 you and your family can join F.A.M.E. for “Movie Night” at Pioneer Park. Bring a chair and blankets and enjoy the animated, “Arthur Christmas”.
