'Annoyance' at Lemon Bay Play House

For the opening production of its 31st season, the Lemon Bay Playhouse, 96 W Dearborn St, will present “Annoyance”, written by Sam Bobrick. This “adult” comedy, directed by Michele Strauss, will open on September 6 and run through September 24. Audiences will enjoy the twists and turns of this clever comedy. In the first scene a very annoying man goes to see a woman therapist in the hopes that she will help him become less annoying. He drives her over the edge. In the second scene he sees her husband, also a therapist, and drives him over the edge. In the third scene he sees both therapists, who have decided to take drastic measures to rid the world of this most obnoxious man. Of course it doesn’t go as planned. Curtain times are 7:30pm Wednesday – Saturday and 2pm Sundays. This show contains some adult subject matter and language. Information and tickets are available online at www.lemonbayplayhouse.com or by visiting or calling the Box Office at 475•6756 between 10am – 2pm weekdays and one hour prior to curtain time. Reserved seat tickets are $20 each and student tickets are $14. Group sales tickets are available at a reduced cost. For information please call the Business Manager at 474•6110. The shining stars selected for “Annoyance” pose for a picture during rehearsals. Seated (from left to right) are Jim Manns (Sidney) and Charlie Tyler (Ethan). Standing (from left to right) are Sandi Wood (Anita), Mary Goddard (Stage Manager), and Michelle Strauss (Director).
