Englewood Sailing Association (ESA) recently held two 'Learn to Sail' classes for adults at their sailing center at Indian Mound Park on Lemon Bay. The classes are instructed on land and on water by experienced sailors who are members of ESA. The instructors accompany the students in small sailboats provided by ESA until the students are able to handle a boat on their own. ESA’s fleet of sailboats include Zests, Picos and Quests, which are used in the classes. The classes are usually taught in four-day sessions. An additional class for adults will be conducted November 4-7. If you interested in learning more about these classes or if you are a sailor and wish to associate with like-minded people, check the ESA website at englewoodsailing.org.
